Miley; "I'm Hannah Montana"

Miley Cyrus has said that she is not leaving Hannah Montana behind because they are the same person.

The 17-year-old shot to fame as the student who moonlights as a pop star in the Disney channel franchise. It was recently announced that the show will finish with its upcoming fourth season.

Speaking to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush, Cyrus insisted that Hannah Montana will always be part of her life.

"People can't say, 'She's leaving Hannah behind' because I am Hannah Montana," she said. "I think that sometimes that's what people have a hard time thinking. That was just me with a wig on. It was all my morals, my songs, my inspiration.

"I was the one telling girls to live their dreams. That was not Hannah Montana, that was me. It's just that now I'm not doing it with a blonde wig anymore or with glitter and all that stuff... There are still songs on my record that have the same meaning but not in such a cutesy way."

The star added that she is "lucky to have had Hannah" and would "never want to make it seem like a bad thing". She admitted that sometimes she "ends up sounding that way" but would "never mean to be disrespectful" to the character because of what she has done for her.

Miley; I Don't Want To Be In The Media ALL THE TIME

New Miley OC Register interview. On having a long career in show business:

That's why this movie is so important to me. By working on this movie, I got out of the public eye for a while. I don't want to be in the press every day because I don't want people to burn out from seeing me all the time. I really can't help it, though, because the paparazzi follows me everywhere I go.

This movie allowed me to feel as if every move I made wasn't being watched every second. It was kind of a good break for me. Then I went on tour for three months and I was in the public eye but not really. You'd have to go on tour to understand how it's a different world.

Like, when you're on tour, nothing else exists. It's the weirdest thing. I don't even know what dad or little sister's doing half the time. You wake up in a different time zone every day. You get up late because you work real late. Our show ends at 11 p.m., and then once you've been bouncing around for an hour-and-a-half, you can't, like, go right to sleep. Your energy's still up.

You get up at 5 in the morning to get to a new hotel, you sleep for two hours; it's crazy. I hadn't been to my house in literally, like, seven or eight months. When I got back to my house, I was, like: 'Half this stuff doesn't fit me anymore. This isn't even who I am anymore.' It's weird how much I changed in that time.

Do you mean physically?

I mean everything. I mean who I am. I think I became more fit on tour. I felt like this is what my body needed to be like to be healthy and strong. When I got back, even my room was so different. The things I wrote on the wall, the quotes, have all become true for me. It was such a crazy period of changing. I got to spend about two weeks at home before I was off on the tour.

Has the media been too hard on you?
I think at times it has, but everybody wants to sell their magazines. They want to sell a magazine like I want to sell a CD. I say what people want to hear to sell my CDs, and I guess other companies tell people what they want to hear to sell magazines.

On changing during her hectic touring schedule: In the beginning, I felt like I had to do what everyone said, or otherwise this will all be taken away from me. But, you know something? At the end of the day, I have to live with myself. I feel a lot more independent now because I'm not going to be working for one single company anymore. It's not like I'm going to have to get new music out for the TV season, or I have to do this, or I have to do that. I don't have to do anything. If I want to take a break, I can take it. The ball's in my court, which is great, but it's also scary because I'm so used to the job security of the TV show. That was like having a normal job.

What is your career plan?
I'm the world's worst planner, but I have good people around me who are good planners. I'm kind of weird because I want to work, work, work. But I do get run down after a while. My New Year's resolution thing was to take one step at a time, don't over-think anything and only do things that are really, really important.

Does being a brand ever take the fun out of it?
Sometimes, it's a weight. But I think that getting away from "Hannah Montana" might help because I won't be part of that franchise thing anymore.

But you acknowledge that you are a brand?
Oh yeah, I'm a walking doll.

Where did your attitude come from?
I have no idea. I've always been super-driven. My little brother is a way better guitar player than me, and he wants nothing to do with the fame. That's the way he is, and this is the way I am. It's all I ever lived for, to be on a stage in front of people.

Miley; Is Nervous To Leave Hannah Montana

Miley Cyrus has reportedly admitted that she is a “little nervous” about the upcoming end of Hannah Montana.

It was recently confirmed that the Disney franchise featuring Cyrus as a student who leads a double life as a popstar will end with its fourth season.

Speaking to People, she said: “I’m a little nervous now because now it’s like I don’t have something to fall back on. But I’m getting excited.

“I think a lot of pressure is going to be taken off of me. I’m not going to be tied down to a company where they’re like, ‘She sings! She acts!’ I can choose when I want to do music and when to do movies.”

She added: “I won’t have this mold they want me to fit into. I can just be what I want to be.”

The fourth season of Hannah Montana will reportedly premiere later this year, with enough episodes to last until 2011.

Miley; I Can Be A Brat Sometimes

Miley Cyrus has said that she can be the biggest brat of all time on occasion.

The Hannah Montana star told Metro that despite having a good relationship with her mother, she can still annoy her.

Cyrus said: “I have my moments. Oh, I can be the biggest brat of all history, believe me. I fight with my parents but overall we are a very close family.

“My mom and I are closer than any other mother and daughter - people tell us that all the time. It doesn’t mean that I don’t drive her crazy.”

Of her move away from the alter ego that made her famous, Cyrus added: “I want to continue doing work that’s a little edgier but I am not giving up Hannah Montana quite yet.”

Hannah Montana: Dolly Parton Returning for a Final Episode

Singing and songwriting legend Dolly Parton is returning to play Miley Stewart’s “Aunt Dolly” on one of the final episodes of Hannah Montana. It will be her third appearance on the Disney Channel series. Parton supposedly agreed to be in 2009’s Hannah Montana: The Movie but her character was ultimately cut from the script.

In an interview with Terry Morrow, Parton shared the news and said of series star Miley Cyrus, “I’m very proud of her. I think she’s a fabulous artist.”

As fans well know, Hannah Montana is ending after four seasons. Production on the final episodes began in January. A schedule hasn’t been announced but they’re expected to begin airing by mid-year.

Miley, 'I'm Not Obsessed With Attention'

New Miley interview with Ottawa Citizen:
'There's not a lot of time to waste to sit there and be insecure about things, or not confident. I'm like any other girl or guy.. I feel that I'm not good enough for this or not good enough for that. But there's something about me that's like a drive, that I know I can do anything if I set my mind to it.'

Miley has seven more episodes of Hannah Montana to film of the fourth and to to finish her album and then music will become 'kind of my last priority. 'I'm going to take a break from music for a while and just enjoy film life. That's what really inspires me.' She wants people to see her as 'something more than just this quirky Disney girl.'

On Twitter delete [Miley's favorite question to answer over and over again]: 'I just kind of got tired of telling people what I'm doing. I have no normal life, everyone knows what I'm doing and where I'm going, and that's my fault because I'm telling everyone. And then I tweet, I'm here!, and I'm wondering why a thousand fans are outside the restaurant. Well hello, you just told them.'

Miley said she doesn't crave paparazzi & media attention: 'I don't want my life to be what people want to watch more than my films. And more about listening to drama about me than my music. I don't want people to assume that I'm obsessed with media and attention. That's not what gives me the high, it's the work.' On being a role model to girls everywhere around the world:

'If I wasn't a celebrity, no parent could dictate the way that I live, and just because I'm in the spotlight, they shouldn't do it either. My job is to be an actress and a singer and do what I love and be a good person. But it's not my job to be a parent. And I'm done taking on that responsibility.'

Interview: Miley to Hire Acting Coach

Miley Cyrus is leaving Hannah Montana behind after season 4 and she has also said she is taking a break from music. What does she want to do? Movies. She loved her experience with ‘The Last Song’ and I have a feeling it’s going to do really well at the box office.

Don’t let Miley’s box office success make you think she has it all together and knows her stuff. In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, she said that most likely she’ll be hiring an acting coach.

On her acting talent: ‘I’ve not taken like acting lessons or anything but it doesn’t mean I don’t need to because I’m sure I do. Once I watch this film in the theatre I’m probably going to go book an acting coach.. I’m kind of bipolar in my acting choices because I just want to do a little bit of everything.

One day I’m telling my mom, you know, I want to do an action movie and then I want to be doing comedy and then all different types of things. I get a little bored so hopefully I’ll get a chance to do a little bit of everything.’

On boyfriend Liam: ‘He’s a 6ft 4in tall Australian surfer and I’m 5ft 4in from Tennessee and I couldn’t surf if someone gave me ten million dollars so we couldn’t be more opposite. But I went to Australia to visit him and his family and I was like, ‘Omigosh, this looks like Nashville.’ There were like cows everywhere.

I am like, ‘how are you from the opposite side of the planet and your world looks just like mine?’ My dad’s just happy that I have something going on in my life with someone normal. No psychos, so that’s good.’

Miley Cyrus On The Ellen Show March 26

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres set to air on “Ellen” next Wednesday, Cyrus, who also appeared on “American Idol” this week, explains that when she first met Hemsworth, she had no intention of dating him, or anyone else for that matter. “I was actually going through a tough time. I was like, guys just need to be out of my life for a little while,” she explained. “[I thought] ‘I just need to alone.’

“I kind of just wanted to focus on my work. I tend to hide behind my work sometimes,” she says of how she felt at the time. But there was something about Hemsworth that made her change her mind. “But I met him, and he opened the door for me, and I was like, I have been in L.A. for three years and I don’t think any guy has actually opened the door for me. It wasn’t that he wanted the job. That’s just who he is. I was like, ‘Wow, that is super-impressive.’ I actually turned to the director and said, ‘He’s got the job.’ He’s hot and he opened the door. Excellent.”

The attraction was there for Cyrus, but she wasn’t sure they could make it work. “We started filming and at one point the chemistry was kind of awkward. … I liked him a little bit, he liked me a little bit, but it was awkward,” she said. “Then I was like, ‘OK, just fake it.’ [I said] ‘Please just pretend you like me’ and he was like ‘I don’t have to pretend. I really do like you.’ [Then it was like] ‘OK, you’re going to be my boyfriend. Cool.’ ”

So, how good are things for the pair now? Apparently pretty great. “We’ve been together for 10 months now and I’m really happy,” she said. “I like him more now than I did [before] because we know more about each other.”

Miley also talks further about the reason for her leaving Twitter a while ago, and how much longer the Disney Channel Original Series “Hannah Montana” will be on air.

“The Last Song” is due in theaters Wednesday, March 31.

Miley & Liam - Interview with TeenHollywood.com

Miley, "Hannah Montana" is finishing Season Four. Are you moving on to films?

Miley: Right, now, the Disney Channel is airing one of the last episodes of Season three and now we're finishing up Season four so a new chapter is beginning. What's been my life for the last five years is ending so it's interesting to be leaving my security blanket behind but also it's exciting getting involved with this movie and making me want to just continue to work and do more films.

(We had a) complete ending for Season three and now we think our show deserves that too. It's such a huge, big deal in so many kids' lives that I think they don't want to see reruns forever. They want a really respectful ending and it really deserves that because it's been such an amazing journey.

We heard that Liam was a real gentleman and that impressed you?

Miley: Yeah. He opened the door (for me) and I'm like 'he opened the door. That was good! He's got the part!' And everybody else was like 'just read with him first'. 'Oh, okay but he's got it. I don't care'. (laughter)

I didn't want to be the one that made the final decision because if he ended up being crazy, I didn't want to be the one that ruined the whole thing but he ended up being awesome and it was so fun. I think I was a little bit intimidated and it's hard for someone to do that to me. It's true.

Miley & Billy Ray Cyrus Salute the Troops – With a Surprise

Hannah Montana stars Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus know how to plan a sneak attack: After inviting dozens of military families to fill the studio audience during the March 12 taping of the hit series, they surprised the audience by inviting them to take part in filming a concert scene for the show.

"My dad has always been super involved with the troops so [the producers] always try to find things that are close to our hearts and that we're really involved in," Miley, 17, told PEOPLE.

Adds Billy Ray, 48: "This past December I was in Afghanistan and Iraq and that trip inspired the writers to say let's do an episode to say thank you to the troops."

In between takes, all the kids in the studio audience – many of whom have parents who are deployed – were also given the chance to tape greetings to their moms and dads abroad.

"It's going to be a satellite thing where the troops can see their kids. It's really cool that they're having the opportunity to say hi to a mom or dad they haven't seen in a long time," Miley explains. "I think that's the coolest thing."

Hannah Montana - Forever (Promo)

Yesterday, Hannah Montana fans saw a commercial featuring Miley Cyrus assuring them quite simply, “Hannah Montana Forever”.

According to Lalate, this is not a promise of life beyond Season 4, which kicks off this July on the Disney Channel and is reportedly the swan song season for Cyrus and the show.
There seems to be some confusion about the TV spot (see below), but I’m not seeing it, just seems like a rather standard promo for season 4 to me.
