Miley, 'I'm Not Obsessed With Attention'

New Miley interview with Ottawa Citizen:

'There's not a lot of time to waste to sit there and be insecure about things, or not confident. I'm like any other girl or guy.. I feel that I'm not good enough for this or not good enough for that. But there's something about me that's like a drive, that I know I can do anything if I set my mind to it.'

Miley has seven more episodes of Hannah Montana to film of the fourth and to to finish her album and then music will become 'kind of my last priority. 'I'm going to take a break from music for a while and just enjoy film life. That's what really inspires me.' She wants people to see her as 'something more than just this quirky Disney girl.'

On Twitter delete [Miley's favorite question to answer over and over again]: 'I just kind of got tired of telling people what I'm doing. I have no normal life, everyone knows what I'm doing and where I'm going, and that's my fault because I'm telling everyone. And then I tweet, I'm here!, and I'm wondering why a thousand fans are outside the restaurant. Well hello, you just told them.'

Miley said she doesn't crave paparazzi & media attention: 'I don't want my life to be what people want to watch more than my films. And more about listening to drama about me than my music. I don't want people to assume that I'm obsessed with media and attention. That's not what gives me the high, it's the work.' On being a role model to girls everywhere around the world:

'If I wasn't a celebrity, no parent could dictate the way that I live, and just because I'm in the spotlight, they shouldn't do it either. My job is to be an actress and a singer and do what I love and be a good person. But it's not my job to be a parent. And I'm done taking on that responsibility.'

Miley and Friends on Double-Date

Miley Cyrus and her Last Song co-star Melissa Ordway go on a double date with their hunky boyfriends at Teru Sushi on Sunday afternoon (March 28) in Studio City, Calif.

Miley, 17, brought along 19-year-old Aussie Liam Hemsworth, who also stars in The Last Song. Melissa was accompanied by actor Justin Baldoni (both 26). Both couples hit the red carpet with their respective dates at the Last Song premiere last week.

Miley & Liam Out For A Bike Ride

Taking advantage of the sunny weather, Miley Cyrus leads boyfriend Liam Hemsworth in a bike ride around the neighborhood on Friday afternoon (March 5) in Toluca Lake, Calif.

The darling duo star in the upcoming The Last Song as Ronnie and Will. The flick tells the story of a rebellious girl (Cyrus) who is sent to a Southern beach town for the summer to stay with her father. Through their mutual love of music, the estranged duo learn to reconnect.

Miley, 17, will be presenting this weekend at the 2010 Oscars.

Before taking off with Liam, Miley flashed a peace sign to photographers.

Miley, who is enjoying her romantic rendezvous with Liam Hesmworth, spilled to BOP! 'I've never gotten along with someone so well.

It's really nice to have someone who understands me! First and foremost we are best friends. All you want is for one person to say, 'You did a really good job today,' or 'You look really beautiful.' You just want one person to make you feel good about something you're doing. Liam has been a big part of that.'

Miley said that making the decision to date a BFF might be scary at first because you don't want to ruin the friendship, but if it feels right then you should go for it! Miley smiled, 'I'm really happy!'

She also told M Magazine that her boyfriends have to be approved by Billy Ray: 'Any boy I date has to be a nice guy and my dad has to approve.' Liam has been welcomed into the Cyrus family with open arms. Miley blogged recently: 'I'm at dinner with my dad, Braison, Noah and Liam. This day has been the best one in a while!'

Miley Feels The Media Bullies Her

Miley Cyrus thinks the media "bullies" her.

The 17-year-old singer-and-actress claims she is often the focus of "nasty" news reports, and has compared it to schoolyard bullying. Miley is now used to dealing with the "cruel" comments, but admits it is still upsetting to read "horrible" gossip about herself.

"The nasty things people write about me is a different form of bullying, but sometimes it feels like I'm right back at school," Miley explained. "It's horrible when you see nasty things written about you, especially when so much of it is made up.

"People see me differently because I'm in the public eye. They see me on TV and think that nothing like bullying has happened in my life, but it has."

Miley says focusing on her successful career helps her cope with the unfounded gossip. Every time she reads something negative about herself, she just thinks about all the good things that have happened to her which makes her feel immediately better.

"I get through bullying by focusing on my dreams. When I see nasty things written about me, I just think about all the positive things in my life," she told Top of the Pops magazine. "I focus on my work and I think to myself, next week, I'm going to London, Paris or Italy. Just think about whatever makes you happy."
