Miley Cyrus loved working with new boyfriend Liam Hemsworth on 'The Last Song'.
The 17-year-old singer-and-actress - who is in a relationship with the Australian star - says it was fantastic to be able to share the movie making experience with someone you care about.
She said: "Working with Liam was a lot of fun because this is something new for both of us. It's cool being able to share that with somebody."
Miley is glad she took the role as rebellious teen Ronnie Miller because it was a chance to get away from the 'Hannah Montana' character that catapulted her to fame.
She added:
"This is his breakout moment in the States and this is my breakout moment away from what people know me as."
Discussing the movie, which sees Ronnie slowly fall in love with Liam's character Will Blakelee, Miley said: "Ronnie and Will have two very different backgrounds.
"She's a little more independent, doesn't have a lot of money and he's very wealthy, very taken care of by his parents.
"He definitely does have it a little bit easier on the surface, that's what she thinks, but it turns out that his life has been just as crazy as Ronnie's."
'The Last Song' is released in the US on March 31.
