Miley Won't Sue Perez For Photo

New York, (ANI): Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus and her parents will not be pressing charges against blogger Perez Hilton for the up-skirt picture he took of the teen actress, and posted on his website.

According to E! Online, a source close to the family said Cyrus, 17, just wants to move on. “She just wants to move on,” the New York Post quoted the source as saying. “She thinks it’s the work of an idiot and wants to move forward,” the source added.
Blogger Perez Hilton had earlier posted an uncensored photo of Miley on his Twitter account, showing her in a short white dress sans underwear. However, he later said that the photo of Hannah Montana star sans underwear was a fake.

Miley Cyrus is about to take another step in her burgeoning transition from child star to mainstream leading lady. The singer, whose Can't Be Tamed album comes out on Monday, is in talks to star in the big-screen adaptation of the thriller "Wake," part of a trilogy of young-adult paranormal novels written by Lisa McCann.

According to the The Hollywood Reporter, Cyrus, 17, is attached to star in the film, which is being adapted for the screen by "Disturbia" co-writer Christopher Landon. (The movie is being co-produced by MTV Films.) "Wake" is the first in a trilogy of novels by McCann that chronicle the adventures of 17-year-old Janie, a teenager who has been able to see into other people's dreams since she was 8 years old. For the most part, the dreams have been of the falling/drowning/forgetting-your-pants variety, but when she begins visiting the disturbing nightmares of a local pothead named Cabel, she realizes she that the only way to survive is to go from being a witness to an active participant.

The film has sequel potential, as the adventures of Janie and Cabel continue in the follow-up novels "Fade" and "Gone," and all three New York Times best-sellers have been optioned by MTV Films and Paramount. According to the Reporter, Cyrus' commitment to "Wake" is contingent on the finished script.

Miley Thinks Singing Is Better Than Talking

Miley Cyrus reckons that belting out tunes is much healthier for her voice than talking.

The teenage star, who releases her new album Can't Be Tamed on June 21, prefers to flex her vocal chords, saying: "Singing is actually better for your voice than talking - when you talk you use the lower part of your voice, when you sing you're using a different part of your voice and actually it doesn't hurt your voice as much."
She added: "It's actually better for me to not talk and sing or for me to write, so when I'm quiet, it's better in my room by myself and working on music."

Miley Doesn't Sleep When She's On The Road

Miley Cyrus has said she never sleeps when she's on the road.

The 17-year-old US singer and actress - who releases her new album Can't Be Tamed this month - insisted: "I don't sleep, like ever, when I'm out on the road. That means I never suffer from jetlag. Can't be jetlagged if you don't sleep.
"When I go home to LA I crash, like really crash."

Miley; "I'm Hannah Montana"

Miley Cyrus has said that she is not leaving Hannah Montana behind because they are the same person.

The 17-year-old shot to fame as the student who moonlights as a pop star in the Disney channel franchise. It was recently announced that the show will finish with its upcoming fourth season.

Speaking to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush, Cyrus insisted that Hannah Montana will always be part of her life.

"People can't say, 'She's leaving Hannah behind' because I am Hannah Montana," she said. "I think that sometimes that's what people have a hard time thinking. That was just me with a wig on. It was all my morals, my songs, my inspiration.

"I was the one telling girls to live their dreams. That was not Hannah Montana, that was me. It's just that now I'm not doing it with a blonde wig anymore or with glitter and all that stuff... There are still songs on my record that have the same meaning but not in such a cutesy way."

The star added that she is "lucky to have had Hannah" and would "never want to make it seem like a bad thing". She admitted that sometimes she "ends up sounding that way" but would "never mean to be disrespectful" to the character because of what she has done for her.

This week, stills from Miley Cyrus' latest video — for her song "Big Big Bang," off her June album, Can't Be Tamed — made their way online. In the photos, she's seen cavorting around downtown Los Angeles with actor Kevin Zegers. But Zegers says that having to kiss Cyrus for the video wasn't as fun as it sounds.

"Liam [Hemsworth] was there, and he seems like a very, very nice man, and my girlfriend, who actually works with Miley, was also there, so it was actually a lot stranger than it normally would be sort of making out with somebody on set," Zegers told MTV News. "Normally they don't really know the people in your life, but Miley knows my girlfriend quite well actually, and I got to meet Liam. These things are very weird."

Zegers says that the video, most of which is a dream that his character has, is going to have some action scenes. "[My character is] a parking attendant and he sees Miley's character drive by and he sort of goes into a dream sequence, which is a majority of the video," he revealed.

"And then something dramatic happens at the end. It's not all the making out, but there's a car accident at the end. So there were a lot of stunts."

For the clip, Zegers rocks a neck tattoo that he jokes was probably an effort to make him appear "more badass." But if fans are expecting the video to show a bawdy side of Cyrus, he says that isn't the case at all. "She's ... just a beautiful young woman sort of roaming around.

It's definitely not raunchy in any way," he explained, adding that the real-life Cyrus is just as clean-cut. "She's very polite and well-raised, which is a rarity for someone in her position. I think she's a total sweetheart."
